An ancillary study (AS) is any study that may request additional new data or biosample collection from RURAL Cohort Study participants or any previously collected data (of any kind)  from RURAL participants.

Dr Ramachandran

The STARs award will allow Dr. Ramachandran to construct a state-of-the-art cardiac imaging laboratory that takes pictures of the heart, along with a vascular laboratory that looks at the function of arteries. A second station to look at the body’s bit-by-bit variation in blood pressure and heart rate in response to daily living activities, and a third station he helped establish a cardiopulmonary exercise testing.
